Governance Structure of the Parish Council

| To update the Committee on the new governance structure as far as CTWF’s Environment & Sustainability and Transport & Parking Working Groups are concerned. |
| Cllr Bray noted that the governance structure for the former CTWF working groups was devised by CPC cllrs to enable those groups to continue to work as freely as possible and especially without the bureaucracy associated with the CPC and its formal committees. The legislation governing the working of the Parish Council allows for advisory groups to work in this way. He noted that it would possibly take some time for the new structure to “bed down” as cllrs—who have not previously operated with advisory groups—and members of the former CTWF working groups develop a full modus operandi. |

There will be five working groups. Health & Wellbeing will merge with Leisure & Recreation.
The working groups will be:
- Environment & Sustainability managed by Peter Stevenson
- Transport & Parking managed by Mark Sugden
- Shops & Businesses managed by Leo Tye
- Health, Wellbeing, & Leisure managed by Jenny French
- New Development & Housing managed by Clive Thompson
Working groups will work as they always have done. But instead of reporting into the CVA trustees, they will report into either the Parish Council or one of its committees as shown. The Parish Council will be accountable for and manage the projects via these committees and working groups.
