Governance Structure of the Parish Council

There will be five working groups. Health & Wellbeing will merge with Leisure & Recreation.

The working groups will be:

  • Environment & Sustainability managed by Peter Stevenson
  • Transport & Parking managed by Mark Sugden
  • Shops & Businesses managed by Leo Tye
  • Health, Wellbeing, & Leisure managed by Jenny French
  • New Development & Housing managed by Clive Thompson

Working groups will work as they always have done. But instead of reporting into the CVA trustees, they will report into either the Parish Council or one of its committeec as shown. The Parish Council will be accountable for and manage the projects via these committees and working groups.

The Parish Council consists of 10 councillors including:

  • Chair: Cllr Holt
  • Vice-chair: Cllr Moon
The Planning Committee reports to the Parish Council and consists of:
  • John Bamford
  • Cllr Bingham
  • Cllr Bray (vice-chairman)
  • John Burns
  • Cllr Collon
  • Cllr Herbert
  • Cllr Holt
  • Cllr Moon
  • Cllr Sheppard (chairman)
  • John Ovenden (non-voting advisor)
  • Vanessa Relleen (non-voting advisor)
  • Gareth Jones (non-voting advisor)
The New Development & Housing Working Group reports to the Planning Committee and consists of:
  • John Bamford
  • Brian Howells
  • Ed Sharland
  • Clive Thompson (chairman)
The Environment, Highways & Transport Committee reports to the Parish Council and consists of:
  • Cllr Bray (chairman)
  • Cllr Coffey
  • Cllr Freeborn
  • Cllr French
  • Cllr Holt
  • Cllr Moon (vice-chairman)
  • Mark Tymieniecki (non-voting advisor)
  • Caroline Stevenson (non-voting advisor)
  • Peter Stevenson (non-voting advisor)
The Transport & Parking Working Group reports to the Environment, Highways & Transport Committee and consists of:
  • Philip Champion

  • Mark Sugden
The Environment & Sustainability Working Group reports to the Environment, Highways & Transport Committee and consists of:
