Apologies for absence.

Apologies of absences were received from Cllr Holt and Cllr Herbert and NVAs John Ovenden, Clive Thompson and Vanessa Relleen.

Declarations of interest in the agenda.

|
Cllr Sheppard declared a (non-pecuniary) interest in Planning Applications 2025/1386. Cllr Sheppard left the meeting at 7.35pm for application 2025/1386. At this point, vice-chair Cllr Collon took the chair. At 8.45pm once this application had been discussed, Cllr Sheppard returned and resumed as Chair the rest of the meeting.

It was noted that there were once again some differences between our views on applications and EBC's—mostly on bulk and mass issues.

Discuss planning applications from Elmbridge Borough Council (EBC) Weekly Planning Lists (https://www.elmbridge.gov.uk/planning) for the following weeks and agree responses required: w/e 30th May, 6th and 13th June.

To discuss the Rythe Road/Raleigh Drive Planning application and agree any action required.
|
|
Cllr Collon took over the chair for this item on the agenda. Several members of the public spoke regarding this application. It was agreed unanimously to oppose this application with EBC. It was agreed that there was a flooding argument as the site does not satisfy the sequential tests.
Cllr Collon to prepare a paper to be sent to T-Plan oppose this application. Proposed by Cllr Collon and seconded by Cllr Bray. Carried unanimously

To discuss the CloudyIT system and agree any action required.
|
|
Several councillors attended a Zoom demonstration which went well but they gave mixed reviews. The quote for this is Β£1,220, including a one-time set up fee of Β£495 and any agreed training costs. It was suggested to use Gov Asst for the Rythe Road planning application as a test of its utility.

The Clerk to contact EBC to regarding the signage outside First Stop Claygate on the Hare Lane slip road regarding their lack of consent to the neon sign.
